Homework Hotline will begin Monday, September 18, 2017
Our Homework Hotline is designed to help students in case they are absent or they forgot to write down the assignment for class in their student planner. Please note that the most update to date information is found with the teacher, as the plans may change if the lessons need to be adjusted.
To access the information you can click on one of the 3 links below. This will bring up a Calendar. Click on the date that you would like the assignments for and a spreadsheet with all of the teacher names will open up for you. Some of the assignments listed have a small paperclip icon next to them. That means you can download the instructions/worksheet,…

At West town Primary Academy we believe that homework, in the way we set it, helps to develop children’s independent learning skills. We use learning journals to set weekly homework that effectively build on children’s understanding of the work they have covered that week in class. Challenges are open ended and accessible by all children.
We encourage parents to support their children with homework. In addition to their journals, all children are expected to read daily and learn their times tables and spellings. All children have learning logs which they record their reading in and also have a wide range of support information for maths and literacy to help children, and parents with their homework.
Class teachers make parents and children aware of the expectations and day to hand homework in at the start of the year and discuss this at parent meetings during the year. We would like to thank parents for their continued support in helping children to complete their homework as it does have a marked impact on the progress of their children.
